Reclaim — Photo Storage Manager

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Reclaim work?

Reclaim compares photos on your device with files stored in your OneDrive cloud storage. It identifies photos that have already been backed up so you can safely free up local storage.

How do I connect my OneDrive account?

  1. Open the app and tap Settings (gear icon)
  2. Sign in with your Microsoft account when prompted
  3. Once connected, the app can scan your OneDrive for backed-up photos

Why does Reclaim need access to my photos?

Reclaim requires photo library access to compare your local photos with those stored in OneDrive. Without this access, the app cannot identify which photos are already backed up. The app never uploads or transmits your photos anywhere.

Can Reclaim delete my photos?

Reclaim can help you delete local copies of photos that are already backed up to OneDrive. Deletion requires an in-app purchase to unlock and always requires your confirmation — photos are never deleted automatically. Deleted photos are moved to the Recently Deleted album, where they remain recoverable for 30 days.

What are favorited photos?

Photos marked as favorites in your photo library are always protected. Reclaim will never suggest deleting a favorited photo, even if it has been backed up to OneDrive.

How do I filter by date range?

Go to Settings > Date Filter and choose a preset range (Last 30 Days, Last 6 Months, Last Year) or set a custom date range. Only photos within the selected range will be processed.

How do I restore my purchase?

Go to Settings > Purchases and tap Restore Purchase. This will restore any previously purchased unlock using your Apple ID.
